About Me

I am a 55 year old man who has always been very creative. I’ve always enjoyed making things starting as far back as in my teens with my dad, when he took great pleasure in hitting my thumb with a hammer… but of course he always said it was an accident whilst laughing his head off!

My career background varies from welding to caring for young people with mental health issues. However, any free time I had I would always be designing and fabricating projects within my home for myself, friends or family.

I came up with the idea of making highland cows after a visit to Scotland with my partner where we saw one made of other materials. She tried getting me to buy her it there and then but we agreed to search the net instead. Then I got to thinking… “I could make one with recycled materials!”

So, I did! And I surprised her with it, with my breath held… and she LOVED it. Thank goodness!

And so it went from there. I started making them with old tools of my dads. Friends bought some and then I started selling them through Etsy and Ebay. I now have my partner helping me too when she isn’t at work, though she thinks she is the real boss of things - not me!!

I love what I do. At home in my cow shed aka ‘the garage’ and I love that I’m using recycled materials, turning them into bespoke animal heads - each with their own characters. Bringing style, personality and joy into your home.
